And I thought this would be so easy…

I started out thinking, “We’re going to be those parents who can do everything they used to do, just with a kid in tow.” Sure, that works for the first three months while they’re still portable, but then things change … and then you’re the parent you swore you’d never be, the one who’s a slave to their kid’s schedule because said kid has to a) nap, b) eat, or c) is too fussy because of lack of (a) or late/early/light (b) to make it through whatever event you’re at – or want to be at.

Life is different now. It just is.
