We’ve read this book already, dear child …. 50 times!

I love that my two-year-old enjoys reading. We read when she gets up as she sips milk, we read before she lays down for a nap, and we read before she goes to sleep at night. We go to the library every Monday for story time and to pick up new books. Another reader in the family!

But … my daughter wants to read the same book(s) over … and over … and over again! That wouldn’t be so bad – tedious but do-able – except now she wants to read books, especially new books from the library, back-to-back … and sometimes back-to-back-to-back.

Once she wanted to read a book 4 times in a row! I almost poked my eyeballs out with the corner of the hardcover.

I love you, kid, but we need to talk about a little word called variety….
