Apparently Ideas Flow When My Toddler’s Poop Does, Too

Some people claim their most creative thoughts come in the shower.

For my 3yo toddler, her free-flowing ideas arrive as her, erm, poop is flowing (though she’s usually talking nonstop). Yep – I get stories that weave books she’s read, conversations we’ve had, and songs she sings. They are insanely creative, rambling, circuitous, and abundantly entertaining.

So, in other words, it’s totally worth it to sit in the bathroom with my toddler while she does her business. There’s a gold mine in there!
