Moms: When is a Craft, a Craft?

My toddler can make a “craft” out of anything – literally, anything.

So, as her mother who loves her and doesn’t want to crush her fragile snowflake confidence (that’s sarcasm, that last…), I have to act like a washcloth with some hair bows strewn over it are the freaking Mona Lisa.

(Seriously. She will arrange her hair bows and headbands on a washcloth and call it a “craft.” She will pile up some toys atop a book – nicely, I’ll admit – and call it a “craft.” For the record, she is also quite skilled at more mainstream crafts although her scissor skills are currently atrocious.)
