I used to think it was only little boys that talked about toots and poop and pee. Nope, my sweet, dear little girl must say “poop” or “poopy” nearing two dozen times. I mean … it was funny the first few times, but no, child – the answer to every question is not “poop!”
Yet however much I roll my eyes, I do laugh most of the time. I mean, bathroom humor is usually quite funny. And she has so much that a lot of it is bound to be actually funny. So, today I bring you a post full of wind!
Toddler and I were having a conversation last week about what we had planned for the rest of the week:
Me: “… No, that’s on Sunday. Today is Tuesday.”
[Thoughtful pause by Toddler.]
Toddler: “I’m going to do a lot of toots today!”
Me: “… Toots? Because it’s Tuesday?”
Toddler: “Yeah!”
Me: “But it’s ‘Tuesday’ today, not ‘Tootsday.'”
Toddler: “I’m still going to toot a lot!”
(For the record, I didn’t notice any excess gas, but every time someone said “Tuesday” that day I definitely said “Tootsday, hahaha!” in my head … yes, I’m still a kid inside, too.)
Awhile back we were all playing on our bed – building a tent with the blanket, tickling each other, plopping with Baby, you know – and suddenly there was a distinct odor. My husband and I just looked at Toddler:
Toddler: “You know what happens when you press on my tummy? I toot!”
You don’t say…. And sometimes it doesn’t even require a pressing!
Please tell me my darling daughter is not the only little girl to be obsessed with poop and gas….
* * * Hey, guess what? The awesome Eli at Coach Daddy asked me to write a guest post for his blog, and it will post tomorrow. Be sure to check it out – and his great writing. He has very entertaining posts, including an enlightening “Go Ask Daddy” series.
My daughter is 4 and makes fake farting noises all the time! You are not alone.

Haha!!! Yep, sometimes as parents we must egg our children on. 😀 My FIL is famous for this … actually my MIL does as well!

Haha! I love that she’s doing a play on words.
Baby Girl has the tendency to announce, “I fahted” (for whatever reason, my little Southern child drops her Rs). This thrills her dad and brother to no end.

She’s so cute!!!! I love the accountability. Mine doesn’t ever own up to it, but we make her say “Excuse me.” My favorite is when kids lean forward and then a toot escapes … I don’t know why, but I laugh every time!
