Parenting misconception #537

I really thought when my daughter took her first steps she’d be fully walking alone instantly afterward. As in, she wouldn’t need – or want – to hold my hand anymore. Think again! What is this intermediate stage?! How long will it last?! Should I be happy or sad? Ugh, parenting….
