As I mentioned last Saturday, I’m setting up a giveaway for my readers – I’m so excited! This is a thank you from me to you – a small way for me to reward someone with a fun gift for you or your kids!
Thank you for reading this blog – whether I’m griping or celebrating or just being silly, this is fun for me and a enjoyable to share. Sometimes I wonder why you all read this, but then I get a text from a friend who tells me how much they enjoyed a post and related to it, or I read through a slew of interesting and thought-provoking comments at the end of a post.
Thank you for your engagement! Your comments and support make this adventure quite satisfying. I hope you enjoy my posts as much as I enjoy yours (those of you who blog as well).
So here we go … your chance to win … Piggy Paint for your nails!
(This giveaway is not affiliated with Piggy Paint or sponsored by them at all. I just like their product!)
Why Piggy Paint? I heard about it from a fellow blogger, that it’s a safe way to polish your little kiddie’s nails – and your own. No chemicals and low odor; it’s even safe to use when pregnant. Read their product info here.
I’m not a hippie, but I dislike very odoriferous nail polish, and I know it’s not healthy for me. I’m not girly and almost never wear polish on my fingers, although I almost always have toenail polish on. (I only don’t when I feel the need to give my nails a “chemical break”!) When my daughter started to ask for her nails to be painted, I knew I had to find a safe way to satisfy both of us. Thank you, Piggy Paint!
It has a very slight to nil odor, won’t compromise our health, looks gorgeous, and stays on pretty well. I admit – it’s not like a salon manicure, but with the top coat and use of the low setting on my hair dryer, it stayed very nice for two days and acceptable for almost a week. So, for special occasions or everyday with a weekly reapply, this polish is perfect for us.
(Actually, my daughter’s polish was applied 4 weeks ago and is still on her fingernails in places. And it’s still perfect on my toenails except for one chip on my big toe.)
Who would love this for your daughter(s) – or yourself?! Raise your hands, friends!! I’ll send one lucky winner a bottle of color plus a bottle of topcoat! You can choose from one of the colors below in matte …
… or shimmery finish …
Your choice! Excited yet?! Okay, here are the rules:
- You must live in the U.S. I’m sorry, readers in the U.K. and Canada, but shipping costs much more than the price of the items.
- In the comments below, mention you are entering the contest and your favorite color.
- The giveaway will be open until Sunday, May 7 at midnight EST. At that point I’ll randomly choose a winner using a random number generator.
- I will contact the winner next Monday and get your final color choice and address so I can get the goodies out to you!
Thanks for reading and chatting, thanks for playing, and best of luck!

Cute! Funny, Anna just saw that color yesterday and asked for it, which surprised me – usually she’s a pink/purple girl!
Glad you entered! 🙂 And thank you!

I’d heard of this nail polish before on Valerie’s old blog, but I’d forgotten all about it. I think I’ll order some through Amazon so that I can paint my daughter’s nails. So cool of you to be hosting a giveaway!

Oh cool! I never saw that old post, just read it in a comment (from her, I thought). I hope it’s affordable through Amazon. DEF use the top coat!

Oh, yay!! I’m glad you and your daughter are enjoying it! 😀 Fun giveaway (I love how you shared the pics of different polishes in circles). Can I enter?? I would love the coral color! I haven’t seen that one in stores. Thanks!

I thought it was you who mentioned it to me, but it was in a comment (I never saw your old blog)! Wasn’t sure, though. Thanks for the heads up – it’s great stuff!
ABSOLUTELY you can enter! 🙂 Why couldn’t you?!
PS I put the pictures in multiple at a time in a circle mosaic. There is a drop down menu for it, at least in my menu….

😀 Awesome, thanks!
Also, woo-hoo, I just tried out making a circle collage on WP and I did it, thank you! I don’t know why I thought it was difficult to do. 😛

I literally just found it yesterday by chance – sometimes WP makes neat things but it’s difficult to navigate. Or at least that’s my observation!!

❤ It's fun to give back sometimes. 🙂 And I won a giveaway (from the same woman who actually told me about this stuff, the writer Valerie above – so nice!) last month, so I want to spread the joy. I got some great terry cloth reusable wipes (to use instead of cotton squares) and I unexpectedly LOVE them!

Ooohh! I might want to see those and give them the try-out!

Yes, definitely. Remind me when I see you next. 🙂 The woman got them from an Etsy shop. She also makes reusable Swiffer cloths which I’m really tempted to buy – or make on my own. Such a great concept I never thought of before!!

What a cool giveaway! My nails are so brittle that I can’t wear nail polish, but I think it’s awesome that you’re doing this!

Oh no! What about your daughter? You can enter for her, unless she inherited your nails. Or does Batgirl not wear nail polish?? (Or Joker / Dark Knight / Wonder Woman) 🙂

She bites her nails past the quick. Her nails are in her mouth constantly, so nail polish would be a waste on her right now. Hopefully she’ll drop that habit sooner than later!

😦 Ugh …. I feel your pain. Both my girls suck their thumbs like they’re made of sugar. I tried using nail polish as an incentive for my toddler to stop sucking her thumb, but it didn’t work. Only the dentist’s persuasion helped for daytime (still working on bedtime, UGH).

Ugh good luck! Neither have ever sucked their thumbs, so I don’t know what it is with the nail biting. But I can only imagine that all that hands in mouth crap has contributed to all the sickness this year!

Absolutely! And no matter how much you tell them that the fingernails are the dirtiest part of the body and carry all those cold/flu germs, they just don’t get it. Drives me nuts! I sort of want to find a creepy YouTube video that shows germs under fingernails and why it makes you sick, but I also don’t want to scar my children for life….

A blue one for Abby would be great😊(She is slightly obsessed with color blue)
I’m excited to read your stories, Katherine!

Awesome!!! The blue looks pretty, yes. Anna just told me she wants to try that – which is ODD, because usually she’s 100% pink or purple.
Thank you, and thanks for stopping by!
